Strengthening ties

Back in 2012, we signed an agreement with the Regional Language Centre, Singapore, to offer jointly our MA TESOL. Five years on we can reflect on a successful partnership, and a strong relationship, and agreeing to renew the agreement for a further five years was an easy decision.

And so we were delighted to welcome Ms Susan Leong, RELC Director, and Ms Vidya Ramnani, RELC Senior Manager, to Wellington this week for the signing ceremony.  Unfortunately we could not control the weather!

Over the past five years, students from Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia, Myanmar, Vietnam, Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia, and the Philippines have joined the programme and we look forward to it going from strength to strength over the next five years.

Next month Associate Professor David Crabbe will start the 2017 teaching year on the MA TESOL at RELC, with a course on curriculum design, and will also be a keynote speaker at the 2017 RELC Conference.
